Mrs. Winston Williams W en tertaining with two informal par tics this week in compliment to a group of her friends i at the North Summer street home of her mother, Mrs. Thomas Hoenan. . This afternoon Mrs, Williams will be hostess for a one o'clock luncheon in rumor of her house guest. Mrs. Willard D. Piffany of Milwaukie, who is here for sev eral days. Mrs. Piffany plans to leave in a few months for Japan to Join her army captain hus band. The two couples Were friends, when both mere stationed at the Presidio in San Francisco. An arrangement of spring flow era and yellow candles will pro vide the decorative note on the luncheon table. Cards will be in play following the luncheon hour. Covers will be placed for Mrs, Piffany, Mrs. Holly Jackson, Mrs. Herman Jochimsen. Mrs. Stewart Johnson, Mrs. . Carl . Cover, Mrs Harold Busick. The Home I Nuptials at v Smith Home The home of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Smith was the scene of the, mar riage of their son, Robert u. Smith, to Miss Kathalene John son, daughter of Mr. and Mrs Sander Johnson of Scio. on April 12 at 2 o'clock with the Rev. Lock of Scio officiating. The couple ex changed their vows before the fireplace which was banked with hydrangeas, fesn and candles. For her wedding the bride wore a beige suit with brown acces sories and an orchid corsage. Mis Dortha Johnson was her s.ister'8 only attendant. She wore a teal blue suit with brown ac oessories and a corsage of gar demas. Robert McLauchlan was best man for the groom. At the wedding reception which followed Mrs.' V. Ray Boydson poured and Mrs. Sander John son cut the cake.
