Announces
Betrothal .
Romance has come again to the
Delta Gamma house on the Wil
lamette university campus. At a
house party Wednesday night Miss
Carola Hays told her sorerity sis
ters of her betrothal to David
Minar, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ed
win L Minar of Salem, ' formerly
- of Portland. The blonde bride
. elect is the daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Carrol Bays of Portland,
former Salem residents. ,
The -bride-to-be is now wearing
diamond on her third finger, left
. hand. No wedding plans have been
made. The coeds learned the news
.' when a telegram was sent to the
house.
Miss Hays and her fiance are
graduates of Salem high schooL
She will graduate- from Willam
ette university in June. Her fianee
is a junior at Oregon; State college
and his fraternity is Sigma Phi
Epsuon.

Peiree wore a rose afternoon gown
with corsage of pink roses and gar
denias. Mrs. Crawford chose a blue
afternoon dress with corsage of
red roses and gardenias for her
son's marriage. '
At the wedding reception which
followed Mrs. Fred Rawlins cut
the bride's cake and Miss Marlys
Paissell presided at the punch

Currie and Miss Mildred Fawlins.
. After a honeymoon trip the new
lyweds will be at home in Salem.
The bride attended Amity schools
end Mr. Crawford isr a graduate
of Salem schools. He is now em
ployed at Frank Doollttles and his
bride is connected with the state
highway department.
