At a house party Wednesday night Miss Carola Hays told her sorerity sis ters of her betrothal to David Minar, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ed win L Minar of Salem, ' formerly - of Portland. The blonde bride . elect is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carrol Bays of Portland, former Salem residents. , The -bride-to-be is now wearing diamond on her third finger, left . hand. No wedding plans have been made. The coeds learned the news .' when a telegram was sent to the house. Miss Hays and her fiance are graduates of Salem high schooL She will graduate- from Willam ette university in June.
