March 21. 1947 Wheat Futures Divided; Oats, Com Steady CHICAGO, March 2tw;P)-A two-way market developed in wheat futures on the Board of Trade today when old crop deliv eries broke sharply while new crop months held firm. Corn and deferred contracts of oats fin week after the sensational upturn since mid-January. Old crop wheat finished 34 to 6 cents lower, March $2.74. New crop deliveries were li to 2 cents higher, July $2-20-2.204. Corn was 4-2',4 higher, March $1.674 4, and oats 2 "4 lower to high er, March 90. Portland Livestock C. G. Wetmore Dies in Salem C. G. Wetmore, 80, retired farm er, died Wednesday at the home of. his daughter, Mrs. A. W. Foglesong, 745 S. High st Born in Maple Hill, Pa., he came to Oregon 51 years ago and had lived at Salem for the past four years. The body has been shipped by Clough-Barrick company to The Dalles, where funeral services will be held at 3 p. m. Saturday. Interment will be in The Dalles I OOF cemetery. Surviving are a daughter, Irs. Foglesong- of Salem, three broth ers and five sisters,-all living in Pennsylvania or New York, and four grandchildren. of the club.
