January Miss Ross To Marry Friday Friday, January 17, ha ben tet as the date for the marriage of Miss Roberta Catherine Rom, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James M. Ross of Salem, to Frank J. Carruth, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Carruth of Los Angeles. The nuptials will be performed at 7 o'clock at the First Congre gational church with the Rev. Seth Huntington officiating. Miss Beverly Kenney will be the !olo it and Miss Betty Rom. young est sister of the bride, will light the tapers. The bride, who will be given in marriage by her father, has asked her siter. Miss Rcwabclte Ross, to be her only attendant. James Lance will tand with his brother as best man and ush ers will be James White and Norvil Cruzen. The couple will receive their guests at a reception in the fire place room of the church after the ceremony. Mis Ross and her fiance are graduates of Salem high school. He served in the marines for three years and will enter Wil lamette university in February. She is employed at the Pan f it Telephone and Telegraph Co. The president, Mrs. Grace Barber, presided at the regular business meeting J which was followed by the spe ! cial report of the membership chairman. The date for the annual rum- mage sale was given as January 25 and 2fl in the hall above Green ba urn's. Rummage may be left with Mrs. Mayme Hill, 1724 Chemeket, Mrs. L. F. Heuper man, 165 E.
