Chiropractor Held In Woman's Death PORTLAND, Oct. 26-P-Dr. Fred Jeannet, 50, Portland chiro practor, was arrested today on a charge of manslaughter which the district attorney said va based on the death of a Saler woman after an abortion. I Jeannet, indicted secretly by the county grand Jury yesterday, was released on $5,000 bail. District Attorney John B. On the program for restaurant operators and employees will be Dr. W. J. Stone county health officer; I. G. Lei man, county sanitarian, and Vern Reirsen of the state board of health in Portland. Other health department activi ties for this week include an in fant and pre-school child confer ence in Jefferson at the Christian church at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday and a clinic for fint graders at the Jefferson elementary school at 1 p.m.; a food handlers class for Willamette university food han dlers in Collins hall at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday; a well-baby confer ence, immunizations, vaccinations and physical examinations at the health office in the Salem Masonic building ..Thursday morning; an adult clinic at the health offices Friday and immunizations and vaccinations in the health office Saturday. Hatfield Given 6year-Term Kenneth Hatfield, who pleaded guilty to charges of larceny and roeitinff - Dossessinc and conceal ing stolen property, "was yester day sentenced to a total of six years in the state prison by Cir cuit Judge E. M. Page. On Friday Hatlield entered a piea of guilty to the larceny char mi which involved the theft and stripping of an auto, and on Sat urday pleaded, guiuy w me men of tools and equipment belonging in R E. Shattuck. He was sen tenced to four years on the lar ceny charge and two years on the stolen property charge, the sen tences to run consecutively. The case of Horace low, wno Friday pleaded guilty to a charge nf lewd cohabitation, was con tinued to Monday for sentence. Details of the December meeting were not completed. About 60 scouts of Marion, Polk and Linn counties heard a talk on the founding of Camp Pioneer In 1936 and on scouting in Australia by William Bentson of Monmouth, one of the council scout camp founders and an hon orary scoutmaster in Australia during his South Pacific war service.
