Walter Norblad aa principal candidate to take ex3 amlnations for entrance nekt year into the U. S. Naval academy at Annapolis, McL, and two other Salem youths were named alter nates for a U, S. military academy examination. . j Rep. Greyhound Tells of Plans For Expansion I Taciflc Greyhound's proposed new Salem terminal was men tioned Thursday as onej of the company's expansion and mod ernisation plans by W. II. .Fgger of Portland, Greyhound opera tions superintendent for Oregon, during the testimony being offer ed the state public utilities com mission by Greyhound in oppos ing West Coast Trailways' appli cation for Intrastate bus service in, Oregon. Employment, of better drivers and more courtesy to the public also are goals or tne ureynouna corporation, Fgger declared. Out of 94 applicants for driving posi tions recently screened by Grey hound officials only 24 were ac cepted, he said.
