Farewell Picnic At Drury Farm Mr. and Mrs. James C. Drury were hosts at their country home on Monday night at a "goodbye to summer" picnic. A moonlight hayride was a part of the eve ning's entertainment. Attending the informal affair were Mr. and Mrs. Jack Lucker and daughter Joan, who are leav ing this week for their home in Washington D. C, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Eakin of Washington D. C, Dr. and Mrs. Leslie Burdette and daughters Leslin and Judy, and Mrs. Burdette's sister, Mrs. Kay Gallagher of Santa Ana, Mrs. Ralph Barnes and daughters, Su zanne and Joan, Mack, Frank and Wendell Hartman, Mr. and Mrs. Drury and sons, Jimmy and John. The Drurys will leave In two weeks for New York City where Mr. Drury is a college professor and where they will remain this winter. Visit -Here on Way South Miss Gertrude Eakin and Miss Alice Judd are visiting Mrs. Mar garet Rosecrans at her Center street home for several days prior to driving to Long Beach, Calif. Miss Eakin, who has been, execu tive secretary of the Portland YWCA for some years, has taken a similar position at Long Beach and will report there on Septem ber 1. Both Miss Eakin and Miss Judd are former Salem women. Church Rites Are Read The wedding of Miss Patricia Jaskoskl, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Philip Jaskoskl, and William I wen, son of Mrs. James Miller of Aumsville was solemnized by the Rev. T. J. Bernards at an 8 o'clock nuptial mass on Tuesday at St. Joseph's Catholic church. Close friends and members of the family attended. The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a green linen suit with white accessories and a lav ender orchid corsage. SH was at tended by her sister, iJuss Mar garet Jaskoskl, who wore pastel pink linen suit and black acces sories. She wore carnations and rosebuds. Best man was George Iwen, brother of the groom. A wedding breakfast was served at the New Salem hotel. They will live in Salem after a wedding trip to California. Visitor to Be Feted Mrs. W. B.
