The four-day session included classes in camp craft, hand craft, nature lore and symbolism, dis cussions and lectures on phychol ogy of growing girls. Engagement of Couple Told Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Stelzig' of St. Cloud, Minnesota are announ cing the engagement of their daughter, Constance; Margaret, to Jerry L. Crone, son jof Mrs. G. H. Robinson of Portland, and grand son1 of Mr. and Mrs George Nel son of this city. The weding will take place in late fall. Delia Merk, John Holt To Wed Mr. and Mrs. H. E. Merk are announcing the engagement and wedding date of their daughter, Delia, to John Aubrey Holt of Seattle, son of Mr. and Mrs. John K. Holt of Salem. The marriage will take place at the First Church of the Nazarene on Saturday, August 17 at 8 o'clock. Miss Merk has asked her sister Miss Alma Merk who is taking nurses, training in Pasadena, to be her maid of honor. Another sister. Miss Vera Merk. and Mrs. Robert Hempel (Mary Helen Sch roeder) will be' bridesmaids. Dale. Mouser will be best man and Frank Miller and Fred Chal nor. ushers. All are from Seattle. The bride-elect is a graduate of Salem high school and is em ployed at Ladd and Bush bank. Mr. Holt .is a graduate of Salem high school and attended Univer sity of Washington. He has been with the Metropolitan branch, First National Bank in Seattle since returning to the states after three years with the army air corps. Miss Boyer Married f At a nuptial mass at St. Joseph's Catholic church on July 6 Miss Dorothy Boyer. daughter of Mr and Mrs. William Boyer, became the bride of George F. Davidson son of Mr. and Mrs. George F Davidson, sr. Father Linahen officiated at the 9 o'clock ceremony. Wayne Meussey was the organist. For her wedding the bride chose a white satin gown fashioned with a train and white lace insets on the skirt, long sleeves and train Her fingertip length tulle veil was held in place by a tiara of seed pearls. She carried a white pray er book marked4 with gardenias and streamers of stephanotis. Miss Gem ith Borrego, the hon or attendant, wore a blue net gown and carried a bouquet of white daisies and blue larkspur. Her juliet cap was of white dais ies. James Miller stood with the groom as best man. Later in the day the bridal couple was honored at a dinner at the home of the groom's par ents. The newlyweds will live in Salem temporarily. The bride is a graduate of Sa lem schools and is employed at the state highway commission. Her husband received his educa tion in Nebraska and served three years in the army, part of .which time was spent in Europe.
