M. Sauter, in Portland on Friday night at 8 o'clock. The groom. Ensign James Noel Jackson, is tbe son of Mr. and Mrs. E. L. Jackson of Waynesboro, Ga. He is now on terminal leave. j The bride attended Oregon State and he North Georgia col lege where he was a member of Prt Kappa Tau. They will live In Georgia and will attend Georgia university this fall. Going for the wedding from Salem were Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Jelderks, Marshall and John, and Mr. and Mrs. R. S. Marshall of Gervais. grandparents of the bride. Mrs. Marshall cut the cake. Miss Terhune Weds Mr. Schrager : JEFFERSON The J e f f t rson Church of Christ was the scene of a candlelight ceremony. July 10, uniting in marriage Miss Ruth Maria Terhune, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Terhtjne of Jef ferson and Manuel H. Schrager, son of Mrs. Rose Schrager of New york. . The Rev. J. Raymond Flte of Sumner, Wash., uncle of the bride read the vows. Lighting the tapers were Ray mond Terhune, Dorothy Becker and LeAnn Haight. The bride; given In marriage by her father, wore a dress of white embroidered organza with train. A white beaded coronet held the finger tip length veil in place. She carried a bouquet of pink rose buds and stephanotis. Her only adornment was a pearl necklace, gift of the groom. Miss Belt Terhune, sister of the bride was maid of honor. She wore a pale blue taffeta and mar quisette dress and carried bou quet of salmon colored carnations and gladioluses with stephanotis in her hair. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Virgil Scheer of San Francisco, and Miss Maxine Brown of Portland in pink net ever taffeta. They carried gardenias and roses. For her daughter's wedding Mrs. Terhune wore an aqua floor length gown with gardenia and pink rosebud corsage. Mrs. Schra ger was unable to attend. Bob Terhune, brother of the bride, was best man. Ushers were Don Bloodgood of Corvallis and James McCornack of Florence. Little Duane Selander, cousin of the bride was ringbearer. Mrs. Gilbert Looney sang "Always" and "Because," accompanied by Mrs. Virgil Bailes. Mrs. Looney also played the marches. A reception was held in the church parlors. Mrs. J. Raymond Fite cut the : wedding cake, XIrs. D- C. Terhune served the punch, and assisting were Mrs. Joseph ine Selander, Miss Sara Hutch ings. Miss Barbara Miller, Miss Beverly Wells, Miss LeAnn Haight and Miss Dorothy Becker. For going away, the bride wore a navy blue suit, pink felt hat with navy blue trim, pink blouse and pink rosebud corsage. After a honeymoon at the Ore gon beaches, the couple will be at home in Corvallis, where they plan to attend Oregon State col lege in the fall. The bride graduated from Jef ferson high school and attended Oregon State college for the past three years, majoring in home ec onomics. The bridegroom is a graduate of a New York City high school and attended Columbia univer sity before entering the navy air corps. He served, in this branch for four yeas, two of which were spent In the South Pacific. Out-of-town guests were Rev. and Mrs. J. Raymond Fite of Sum ner. Wash., Mr. and Mrs. N. T. Gantner-Hampton Vows Read Miss Ruby Helene Hampton, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. D Hampton and John Gantner, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Gantner were married on July 5, by the Rev. Paul L. Kunzman in Van couver, Wash. The bride was attired in an aqua blue suit with white acces sories and a gardenia corsage. A reception was held at May flower hall In celebration of this wedding and the anniversary of that of the bride's uncle and aunt. Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Baugh man. Mrs. Rubie Reeves, grand mother of the bride, cut the cake. Mrs. Theodore Baughman and Mrs. Cecil Baughman assisted. Mrs. Raymond Gamba, cousin of the bride had charge of the guest book. Smith, Jr., of Salem, were present. MUa Helene Kolb and Mfos Mary Julia Chase of Grand Rap ids, Mich., are visiting at the home of the former's brother-inr law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Smalley. They will leave by plane for home on Monday after remaining a month. Jayeeetles will hold their annu al picnic at the home of the Irwin Wedels, 158 Duncan avenue, on Monday night at 8:30 o'clock. Bobby Cree Given Party on His Birthday At Mill City Home MILL CITY Mrs. Paul Cree gave a. party for her son Bobby on his sixth birthday Thursday and invited his friends, ames were played, with Betty Lou Cree winning the prize.
