The Statesman Plana for Marion county's an nual spring Jersey show were completed Sunday when approx imately 30 members of the Mar ion county Jersey Cattle club met at the D. ,C. Brolk home near Sa lem. The show will be held at the state fairgrounds June 3. More than 50 entries have been signed up for the show. However. Floyd Bates, president, stated that while entries officially closed May 1$, a few more will be wel- cuam . una wees., a speviau invi tation is being sent to 4-H club members and the Future Farmers to joinf' in the show. Their ani mals will be shown for competi tion during the forenoon session and the open classes will be Jud ged during the afternoon. O. K. Beals, state department of agri culture, will judge. Mrs. Stanley Riches of Turner heads the lunch eon committee. Jim Bishop, county 4-H leader, a guest at the Sunday meeting, re ported ; a number of 4-H club members already had indicated that they would show. Voted complimentary member ships in the club were Mr. and Mrs. Harold A. Larsen and Vern Kiskey; all of Silverton. The next meetinf will be held June 10 at the I. D. N.J. where he will attend the church s Gen eral Assembly. Also in Atlantic City for meet ings having to do with the Gen eral Assembly are Mr. and Mrs Charles A. Sprague. Mrs. Sprague is a memDer or tne cnurcn s uen eral Council, similar to the feder al cabinet in the Presbyterian government, Sprague, a member of a commission which has been making ready for establishment of a new magazine, Presbyterian Life, is with other members of the commission preparing for the first edition of the magazine later this year.
