a stenographer in the Ladd and
Bush Salem Branch, United
States National Bank. Mr. Loom

art H. ComRton was refcently revealed at the Slqrma Kap
pa house on the Oregon Slate college campus. Miss Finney
is the daughter of Mr. and; Mrs. W. S. Finney of Hood River
and her fiance is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry V Compton
of Salem. No plans have jbeen made for the wedding.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Hood River high school,
where she received the DAR pilgrimage award. She is now
attending Oregon State college and is a member.of Sigma
Kappa. Mr. Compton frs a graduate of Salem high 'school and
is now taking his navy reserve officers training at Oregon
State college. He plans to- take Jaw at Willamette "University
r.ext year. The young navy man served a year in-the 'South
Pacific. "
