C Huston, Carl King and " Mtlvin Case began work for a logging company near lfebo last week and were here ov er Sunday. A surprise party for Virgil Mt. Angel Play To Be Presented Twice on Sunday MT. ANGEL, April 5(Spe-cial)-Morton Park of Portland will play the leading role in the stage production "A Victim of the Seal which wil be enacted at the Mt. Angel college auditorium Sunday, April 7, by the boys of Mt. Angel seminary. Two per formances, 2 p. m. and 8 p. m. will be given. All proceeds will go to the foreign missions. Park plays the part of Father Remillard, accused of murder and unable to defend himself because of what has been told him in con fession by the real murderer. Others in the cast include Ed win Blivin, Frank Steinkellner, Harold Sander, Rev. John Ken drigan, Joseph Heretick, Patrick McCabe, Thomas Becker, Thomas Bailey, j C h a r 1 e s Taaffe, Daniel Reynolds, Harry Durrie, and Thomas Kurth. The Rev. Gabriel Morris, pro fessor of dramatics, is directing the production. Ramona Club Members Guest of Mrs. Riches SILVERTON, April 5 (Special) Ramona club was entertained Tuesday at the home of Mrs. Har ry L. Riches with Mrs.. Robert Allen and Mrs. F. E. Sylvester as co-hostesses. Mrs. Riches entertained the guests by showing many art treas ures and beautiful paintings which Captain Riches, Marion county agricultural agent, sent from the various countries in Europe where he is still stationed. Mrs. William Scaru who has been usable to tlend the club meetings for a time, was present and a corsage was presented to her. E. McElhaney at an all day meeting Tuesday. Red Cross sew ing was done and a plant exchange"! was a feature of the meeting. Spring flowers were used about the rooms and to . form a center piece for the dining table where the luncheon was served. Later the women visited the garden at the McElhaney home where the primroses of many varieties are in bloom now. Guests included Mrs. S. H. Downing, Mrs; Edna Eaton of Sa lem and the Matter's house guest from Bellingham, Wash.,; Mrs. Aon Seely, of Gervais, and her grand son, Dickie Morley. Kuikens Move to New Place Near Lebanon I SHELBURN, April 5 (Special) Mr. and Mrs. Wiebe Kuiken have moved to their new place near Lebanon where the house was re cently completed. Their son Lester and his family, will remain on the farm. . Willard Swengerson has com pleted concrete work on the foundation : and floor of the new barn, for Alvin Meritt. Swenger son is also doing .a lot of cement work at the Miller cemetery. Swegle Women Entertained SWEGLE, April 5 (Special) Mrs. William Damery and Mrs. William. Moore entertained mem bers of the Swegle Woman's club at the Damery home on Garden rd. Tuesday. The president, Mrs. C. A. Sal ter, conducted the business meet ing with reports given of the Red Cross drive by Mrs. Louis Neu man, Mrs. Otis Dawes, those ill in the community. It was the an nual flower exchange meeting and for a program flower and garden games were used. Guests were Mrs. John Woodburn. New mem bers are "Sirs. Ralph Hines, Mrs. Mel v in E.'
