The engagement news was re vealed in miniature silver hearts Corner Court and Liberty EXCLUSIVE APPAREL which contained the names : of Miss Van Laanen and Mr. Mas- sey and of Mr. and Mrs. John Van Laanen, who were married March 13, 1921. Miss Van Laanen is employed in the Salem offices of Drs. Darby and Burton, while her fiance has been with the state veterans' administration since his return from service in the European theatre.
