Open House Slated For Tonight One of the larger affairs ot th holiday kuoo for members of the younger set will be th: open house for which Mist Mar tie -Cooler, JOss Mariana Cro- lsan and Miss CharlotU Alexan der will be hostesses tonight at the Ralph Cooler residence on North Summer street About seventy-five of the col lege and hl school set have been invited to call between 7 and 10 o'clock. Asaiitlnf the hostesses will be their mothers, Mrs. Ralph IL Cooler, Mrs. George Croisan and Mrs. George Alexander. The buffet table will be cov- ered with a white satin cloth and centered wtth an arrange- ment of white flowers, red sa tin ribbon and white tapers in silver candelabra. Waldorf salad Broiled halibut Vegetable rice i ; Graham gems Lemon meringue pie VEGETABLE RICE Vt cup uncooked rice 2 quarts boiling water 1 cup diced onions 1 cup diced celery 1 pint cooked peas 1 pint carrots - . tt teaspoon salt 2 teaspoons Worcestershire . sauce'- Cook rice until tender in the boiling water to which 2 tea spoons salt have been added. Drain the rice but keep it warm. Cook the onion and celery in a little water and when almost tender, add the peas and carrots. Boll 10 to 15 minutes. Add the salt and Worcestershire sauce.
