Recent ly climbing rails, mail orders, fcviation. utilities and coppers registered losses of fractions to around I points but distillers generally finished up 1 to 6. Aided transfers totaled 1,320,000 shares compared wijh 1,410,000 Wednesday. Principal blame for the day's stumble was placed on year-end selling to establish tax profits under the 25 per cent capital gains rule.
