Noyea, 47, Chicago, dean of the Unlvera , itj f Oregon. Dental ' achool in Portbnd at $8.5000 a 'year. Dr. Noyea now la department head at Northwestern university dental achooL The board authorized a program to make lurplua housing from the Vancouver area available by fall, 1148, for 900 student veterans each at the state college and unl varsity. Bids will be opened January 22 for a new women's dormitory at Oregon State, the cost covered by a elf-liquidating bond issue. The board also approved preliminary plana for a new naval science building at the college for ROTC work. Corvallis airport faculties will , be used for a flight training pro gram at OSC, under college con trol but with instruction con tracted to a private firm. The new turkey research project by the agricultural experiment sta tion will be launched on a $3,200 budget, it was decided.. A special committee reported equipment at the college engineer' tnf school "utterly inadequate' and said the same condition was found in other schools on both campuses. Special appropriations will be sought from the legisla ture by "repeated requests,' waa stated. Almlie and the pres entation of the high school chor us under the direction of Joseph Edmiston. Mrs. George Chrlstensen an nounced the next meeting would be January 17 at the library. Lincoln The annual Christmas party for the school and commun ity will be held Thursday night, December 20 at 8 o'clock. The annual all day Ladies Goodwill club party will be held as usual at the E. T. McKlnney home, on Thursday, December 13. A gift exchange will be a feature. Zena The Spring Valley Farm ers union officers have set the monthly meeting: for December 28 when John Knight of Willamette university will be the speaker. Liberty The Woman's club will hold its Christmas party at the Wilbur Kurth home, Thursday, December IS. A no-hostess lunch eon will be served at noon. Gifts for the Children's Farm Home at Corvallis will be brought by the members.
