Seta Hunt ington, who recently came here from The Dalles, will be honored at a large reception on Wednes day night, when membere of the First Congregational church en tertain in honor "of their new minister and his wife. All friends of the church are Invited to call between 8 and 10 o'clock. The affair will be held In the recep tion rooms of the church. Mrs. Richard Slater will in troduce to the receiving line which will include the honor guests, Dr. and Mrs. Chester F. Luther, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Upjohn, and Mr. and Mrs. David Cameron. Assisting and min gling with the guests will be Mr. and Mrs. W. I. Needham, Dr. and Mrs. Kenneth H. j Waters, Judge and Mrs. George Ross man, Mrs. Mabel S. I Mullikin. During the evening there will be organ musiq by Mrs. Jean Hobson Rich and ' Mrs.; D. B. Kleihege. The serving table-will be cov ered with, a lace cloth and cen tered with a low arrangement of leaves, fruit a n d chrysanthe mums flanked by white tapers in silver candelabra's. - The hall and reception rooms will be dec orated with large baskets of leaves and chrysanthemums and white .tapers in brass candle sticks. . ; .; Wedding Will, Be Celebrated-. Calendared for Sunday after ' noon, November 4 will i be the 40th wedding anniversary cele bration of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph E. Sturgis. The reception will be held at their home at Brooks. They are asking their j friends through the press to call be tween 2 and 6 o'clock. ! I Mr.: arid Mrs. Sturgis have -made their hptne in Brooks since their marriage, fie is a member of a pioneer family of the com munity. They have two sons and ' a daughter. .
