Lyman Steed, j " Miss Meyer Feted On Birthday SILVERTON Miss Althea Meyer was honored Saturday night at her home in a pre birthday observance when a group of friends called for the evening. Red roses and white ta pers were arranged in the din- .'ing room where a late supper was served to Miss Meyer, Mr. 1 and Mrs. Edwin Hatteberg, L. CI Music r Maxine Buren j Womta'i Editor Primes Are ? Dinner Hosts Dr. and Mrs. Frank V. Prime were hosts for a smartly ar ranged party Mnday night at their country place, "Lake Lure." The affair honored the wedding anniversaries of the Primes and Commander and Mrs. Verden E. Hockett. Also sharing honors was Captain George W. Shep ard, who celebrated his birth day. A buffet dinner was served by the hosts. Bouquets of garden flowers provided the decorative" note about the rooms. The eve ning hours were spent informal ly. Krenzes Celebrate Silver Wedding VICTOR POINT Mr. and Mrs. Julius C. Krenz celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary Sunday at their home here. Rel atives gathered at the noon hour for dinner. The rooms were beautifully decorated with bou quets of roses and peonies. Friends and neighbors called to extend good wishes. Miss Lau rel Krenz received the guests at the door and had charge of the guest book. Sisters of the couple assisted about the rooms. Mr. .and Mrs. Krenz were married June 9, 1920 and have lived in this community their entire lives. They have one daughter, Laurel Krenz, at home, and one son, Richard Krenz, army air corps, who is in training in Texas. Coming from out-of-town for the event were Mr. and Mrs. Argus Pearson, and daughters, Donna, Mavis, and Carol of Wil lamina, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Sharp and daughter, Sandra of Spring field, and Mrs. Russell Gray and daughter, Nancy of Toledo. The women are nieces of Mrs. Krenz. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Price and their twin sons, Jack and James, arrived .in the capital - Tuesday from Seattle for a visit at the home of her parents. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Fisher, and with Mr. Price's father, Mr. Oscar E. Price. This weekend the elder Larsons plan to spend the weekend in Yakima with another son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. John Larson. The trip will be made by airplane, a Father's day gift from the John Larsons, Mrs. John Isaacson left Sun day night for Monmouth where she will attend summer school for two weeks.
