Transportation difficulties were given as the reason for the Milwaukie move while Oregon City officials openly admitted that No-Name opposition, especially in football, was too much for the Pioneers. The withdrawals leave Salem, Corvallis, Albany and Eugene still active. An invitation, authorized by league officials is to be sent to Bend and possibly Springfield or Lebanon to fill the circuit to the six-team level again. Oregon City Coach Dan Jones, president of the league until the sithdrawals, was replaced by Sa lem Athletic Director Gurnee Flesher. Earl McKinney of Cor vallis was elected vice-president and Henry Kuchera of Eugene retained his post as secrety-treas-urer. All schools were represent ed except Eugene. The new offic ers are to work toward the re building of the league Into a six team circuit as soon as possible.
