Butsch and John T. Bauman. re
elected; supervisory committee,

and is steadily increasing its sta
bility and influence, in spite of

building up a good, sound credit

: money, it will be a ready refuge
when leaner years arrive and the
, necessity of borrowing becomes a

son, seaman 1c, has been home
on a 23-day leave. Anderson was
an armed guard and assigned to
a Dutch freighter. He is the son
of Mrs. Olga ; Anderson near the
Candy Kitchen on Dallas-Falls
City highway. His brother, Earl
Anderson, and family of Valsetz
has been visiting their mother the
past month also. Seaman Ander
son left Thursday for San Fran

Tansey, route six, Salem, from the
Philippines, where he had parti
cipated in an invasion! that he was
Well and safe. The letter, written
on Christmas day, tells of air
raids almost every night which
required him tQ roll; out of bed,
and go to his nearby, foxhole.
Tansey, in an engineer aviation
battalion, describes the climate as
