Daughters Hold Monthly Meeting ;, The October meeting of Court Capital City, Catholic Daughters of America, waa held at the Sa lem Woman's club on Wednesday night The Court Chaplain, Rev. Bernard J. McDonnell, conducted a question box. Plans were discussed for com munion and breakfast for mem bers on Sunday morning. ' Mem bers will receive communion at the 80 mass at St Joseph's church followed by breakfast Mrs. Mary Parton is chairman of the breakfast committee. 1 Mrs. J. D. White reported that . her committee sold . their quota of forgetj-me-nots. .'': Mrs, Susan C. Wruble and Miss Mary Wruble transferred from Court - Marion ' at Mt. Angel to Court Capital City. The 1944-45 year books, dedi cated to members in service, LL Rufina Parrish, AJN.C, Lt Agnes M. Frank, AJf.0, and Miss Mary Brand, Cadet Nurse, were dis tributed. Mrs. Napblean RocQue report ed on plans for the organization of a new Court at Hillsboro. Fol lowing the business meeting Miss Loraine Meusey gave a book re View on "Glory of the Mohawks." '. Refreshments were served by the committee, Mrs. J. D. White, Miss Marguerite Gleason, Mrs. Charles Herold, Mrs. John Gef fer, and Mrs. Lillian Mullen. Mrs. Walter L. Sp&uldln, dis trict chairman, and Mrs. John H. Carkin, president of the Salem University of Oregon Mothers club, will be in Portland Satur day to attend an executive board meeting of the state organization t the New Heathman Hotel. Mrs. Spaulding will remain in Portland for the weekend as the guest of her brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Clay C. Miller, and Mr. and Mrs. O. E. Bennison. Mrs. M. P. Adams will preside at bridge luncheon this after noon at her country home in compliment to members of her club. Mrs. Frank Loose will be a special guest. .
