He has for several years been associated with the land conservation board in south ern Oregon. His rating in the ex animation given inductees was high, and he hopes to be sent to a naval school soon. Mrs. !. C. Soenee received ' a telephone call from her son, Gor don Spence, telling of his promo tion to master sergeant. After serving overseas for 32 months, Set.
