" Buttered boiled potatoes Youngberry pie SAVORY LAMB LOAF o Hi pounds ground lamb 4 slices white bread t Yt cup milk ," t - 1 egg ; ' : l : -:;: -;f 2 tablespoons minced green pepper- - cup chopped onion 1 clove garlic, finely minced - 1 teaspoons salt t teaspoon pepper Carrots .. '. 4 larg ebay leaves " Trim crusts from bread, dice, add milk i and egg. Beat well with, a fork. Add lamb, green pepper, onion, garlic and ' sea sonings. Max well. Pack half the mixture in a greased loaf pan. Slice carrots very thin. Arrange carrots evenly over the lamb mixture, leaving the meat un covered one inch from the sides. Pack the rest of the, meat over the carrots, pressing down , at the sides, to make a firm seat Arrange bay leaves on top. Bake in a moderately hot oven (350 degrees) for Hi hours. Serves 8.
