Mrs. George Rossmanls a past president of AAUW and has headed Town and Gown this year .; . . Mrs. Herbert Bane Is a past president of both the Woman's club and AAUW . . . These organizations have all been efficiently run the last several years with experien ced presidents . . . and it will be interesting to see if: trading posts continue in the future. Pouring while we were there was Mrs. Walter Snyder, attractive in a grey and red print frock with watermelon red jacket Poppy Sale Is Next Week Veterans in hospitals through out the state are busy fashioning crepe paper poppies, which Will be sold by women workers un der the direction of the .Ameri can Legion auxiliary on May 26 and 27. ? s Money received from the pop py sale goes to rehabilitation and child welfare projects of the auxiliary. All work is volun teer, so few expenses are incur red to put over the sale. Funds go to assistance of f a t h e r 1 e ss families and families of needy veterans. Money is used to pro vide interests for disabled veter ans not taken care of by govern ment agencies. Salem auxiliary has I ordered 10,000 poppies to he sold the two days. Materials are assembled, by veterans in the Portland hos pital. - Oregen State college mothers will meet for a 1 o'clock covered dish luncheon Monday afternoon at the YWCA and all Oregon' State mothers are invited to at tend.
