(AP : Wirephoto) OPA Plans Apple Price Gradation .WASHINGTON, Jan. 20. - JP) -The office of price administration tl is week .announced a plan . for more gradual winter-to-summer seasonal increases in the maximum prices of apples of the 1943 crop.' ; ' Heretofore the rise . from 'Jan uary to June was taken in two steps. Under the new order' there will be four smaller price hikes. OPA said the action, effective immediately, would have to effect on .the average retail price of ap pels over the six-month period. The purpose of the change, the agency, explained, is to provide a more even distribution of the fruit by months.
