Albrich of Salem high school.
Miss Wichman has been residing

met Thursday in the social rooms
at the Masonic temple. Mrs.
Hazel Enos, president, called the
meeting to order to perfect plans -for
the serving of the annual
Eastern Star election night sup
per, December 8 meeting.
This is a long established cus
tom of the Past Matrons, and the
plans are promising despite ra
tioning difficulties. The presi
dent appointed the following
committees for the evening:
Kitchen commit tee, Gertrude
Beach, chairman. Pearl Lansden,
Eleanor Vickers, Mary Smith;
dining room, committee, Beulah
Gilbert, chairman, Martha Reil

Party in Comedy
Miss Civilla Reeher, now at
tending the University of -Washington
in . Seattle, is appearing
in a three-act comedy by Kath
erine Dayton and George S.
Kaufman titled "First Lady." -This
is a story of Washington,
DC politics, and Miss Reeher has
the part of an influential club
woman who backs a presidential
candidate. It is currently show
1 n g at the Penthouse theatre.
The play had its preview No
vember 5 and will , run nightly
until December 18.
