Salem of the marriage of Miss Minerva Alameda- Working, daughter of Mrs. Minerva Working of Salem and Mr. Seymour Working of Portland, to Technical Sergeant Clyde A. BandalL son of Mrs. William CDonnell of . Portland. The wedding took place on Oc tober 5 at the First Baptist church in Riverside. Calif, Dr. W. W. Catherwood officiated at the 8 o'clock service. The bride chose a postman blue wool suit with brown acces- "sories for the wedding. Her-., flowers were gardenias. "- I Sergeant and Mrs. Rex Olson of Willoughby, Ohio attended the couple. Mrs. Olson wore a beige wool suit with red acces sories and a corsage of gardenias.' The couple spent their honey moon at Mission Inn, Riverside and in Los Angeles. Sergeant and Mrs. Randall are now at home in Mansfield, Louisiana where be is a teacher with he topographical ; engineers. The newly weiis are graduates of Salem high school and she recently completed her nurses' training at St Mary's hospital, Astoria and is a registered nurse. She took her preliminary ; training at St. Vincent's in Port land.' V Red Gross Classes To Begin The Red Cross home nursing institute for instructors and nur ses to be conducted by Miss Mary Gray, nursing consultant for Oregon, is scheduled to begin Monday at 9:30, followed by aft ernoon sessions from 2 KM) to 4:30. Tuesday's programs will include evening classes from 7 to 9 in ad dition. All classes Will be held in the Red Cross classroom, 303, in the old high school building. (Jg) and Mrs. inger and daughter, Harold Susan, rived in the capital Saturday from Farragut, Idaho, where the former is stationed. Mrs. Sidney King wiUV meet with a representative from each group next Tuesday, No vember 9. at the home of Mrs. Emma Maxwell at 1472 Center street , A panel will be formed consist ing of one girl from each junior high group, a committee of lead ers and the local executive that will make plans for all city events, either fun or service, for girls of this age. The roller skate party held at the Capitols rink by the Camp Fire Girls and Blue Birds was a success with approximately 200 girls in attendance. Several new leaders have been secured for grouse and are start ing their work with the girls. The Presbyterian church . chosen by Mrs. Robert . Stanley and Mrs. Russell Pratt for meetings and plans are being made to begin the sponsorship of a younger group. , : Mrs. C S.
