New York City, .where he faced ) daily the problems of bad housing, under nourishment, delinquency, lack of recreational opportunities I and other community problems found in an under-privileged area with a mixed population. , A! leader in world-wide religious activities, Mr. Hall was director of the I youth council of the World Sunday School association at its quadrennial convention in Norway in 1936, a leader at the world conference of Christian youth and the World Student Christian fed eration conference neia in xne Netherlands in 1939. Mr. Hall is a graduate of Will iams college, Williamstown, Mass. After two years of study abroad at New college, Edinburgh, and Mansfield college, Oxford, Mr. Hall completed his theological studies at Union Theological semi nary, New York. The dinner will be a pot-luck affair: For purposes of easy accommo dation, the 1072 members ot the congregation have been divided into 11 groups or families, each family to be presided over by two chairmen.
