Miss Carbine has been em ployed at secretary v at the Sa lem chamber of commerce. She is a graduate of La Grande high school and a former student at the Eastern Oregon College of Education. She has also had six months of vocational training in radio. It is her wish .to be as- , signed to administrative or ra- - dio duty in the army. Her par ents, Mr. and Mrs. D.
