Bafllie, manager of the Salem of fice of the US employment service, said Monday. Arrangements have been made with City School Superintendent Frank B. Bennett for space in which to conduct the rlessee, open only to women who are high school graduates. ; One organization has Indicated that lt-can use the entire class as soon as the course has been com pleted, Baillie said, while numer ous opportunities for ' qualified workmen of this type are avail able. The course, Baillie declared, enables women to replace men in this semi-clerical field. A more advanced course . to qualify applicants as junior en gineers under federal civil service may be offered after completion of the currently-planned series of lessons.
