Page, Miss Steusloff and Mr. and Mrs. Chambers. : Mrs. Mildred Robertson Brooks will preside at a buffet dinner tonight at her country place in honor of her son and daughter-in-law, who will be leaving Wednesday for Washing ton, DC- From there they expect to go to Casa Blanca, French Morocco, Consul Brooks' new post. Program at Library Another in the series of Sun day afternoon concerts of re corded music will be given in the music room of the Salem public library, Sunday at 3:30 o'clock. The program is made up f light-opera music and selec tions from singing pictures. Mr. Robert Rawson will give instructive comments. The public is invited. The ceremony will take place on Friday, March 27, at the Leslie Methodist church. The engagement of the young couple was announced early In January. The date was revealed at dinner at the Delta Phi soror ity Thursday night. The bride-to-be is the daugh ter of Mr. and Mrs. C. L. Mc Curdy of Salem and her fiance's parents are Mr. and Mrs. B. X., Bunnell of Portland. Miss McCurdy is a junior at Willamette university and a member of Delta Phi sorority. Mr. Bunnell is a Willamette graduate and a member of Kap pa Gamma Rho. He is now teaching at Irrigon high school where the couple will reside aft er their marriage. Mrs. Ramage Is Hostess Mrs. L. M. Ramage entertained the Sigma Tau mothers at a des sert luncheon Friday afternoon. Daffodils and spring blooms - provided the decorative note. Special guests were Mrs. H. W. Monday's upside down apple cobbler is made by lining the bottom of a pan with sliced ap ples, and sweetening with sugar or cornsyrup. A biscuit crust is put on top and the dessert baked. Daughters of the Amer ican Revolution, entertained. Over a hundred women called during the afternoon. In the receiving line were Mrs. I. M. Schannep, Mrs. Sprague, Mrs. Carey Martin, Mrs. Frank Settlemier and Mrs. Seymour Jones. Special guests, who also received, were Mrs. William Horsfall, Marshfield, newly elected state regent, Mrs. Howard P. Arnest, Portland, and Mrs. Jeannette Den tier, Portland, state recording-secretary. With Mrs. Horsfall came Barbara Marie Guderian of Pen dleton, the state pilgrimage girl. Good Citizen pilgrimage girls, sponsored by Chemeketa chap ter, were introduced and includ ed Miss Betty Dickey, Dallas, Miss Ruth Farmer, Indepen dence, Miss Jane Irish, Silverton, and. Miss Veta Smith, Salem. They were all presented with patriotic corsages. The living room was festive with spring flowers and red and white carnations in a silver bowl were arranged on the tea table.
