Instructions from-F. W. Koe- ster, officer in charge, state that registration of all h o r s e s and mules between the ages of three and 10 in the states of California, Oregon, Washington and Nevada is desired. Every horse and mule owner is requested to forward at once -the following information' concern ing each horse or mule he owns, age, sex, color, whether ; riding or draft type, whether broken or unbroken and whether or not necessary for the owners own use. It is important that all such ani mals be listed by January 10. While the registration of ani mals is to be done by January 10, W. C. Leth, Polk county agent, states that for a few days his of fice will continue to list animals by those who did not get such information in by the deadline set It is suggested that various ag ricultural organizations, as well as individuals, call this matter to the attention of as many horse and mule owners as possible this week, states Leth, and that every effort be made to have the lists completed on January 10 or im mediately thereafter.
