Bobbe Beckner ' Weds.; ' ' Miss Bobbe - Beckner became Mrs. El win Doty at a ceremony Saturday night at the home of the bride's brother-in-law and sister, Mr, and Mrs. George Me Kenzie. The bride is the daugh ter of Mr. and Mrs. G. G. Beck ner and her husband Is theson of Mr. Ernest Doty of Bend.: : The couple ; exchanged vows before the fireplace which .was "banked with pink and : -white v gladioluses. Miss Doris RMchey lighted ' the candles on either fide of the fireplace and on the mantle. " ' It was at 7:30 o'clock that Rev Guy L. Drill read the mar- i riage service. Mrs. Nick Brink ley was the soloist,' singing "Be-" gfause" and "At Dawning," with Miss La Von Gardner accom panying her. Bride in White Laee The attractive, i brunette bride wore a lovely white lace gown for her wedding. The dress was fashioned with a floor length full skirt The tight-fitting tod ice was made with a sweetheart neckline and three quarter length sleeves. ', V For something borrowed she wore Mrs. Byron Roman's three tiered fingertip length tulle veil enhanced with lace. It cascaded from a halo of seed pearls caught with orange blossoms. She wore . her sister's single strand j of pearls and carried a bouquet of white chrysanthemums and bouvardia. Mr.. Beckner gave his daughter in marriage. Mrs. Roman, the former Mar garet Huckestein was matron of honor and her gown was of aqua blue taffeta designed with a full skirt and - short puffed sleeves. The bodice was embel lished witiV tiny self -covered buttons,-and Peter Pan collar. Her nosegay was of bronze but ton - chrysanthemums encircled with a net Jfrill. Mr. Roman stood with Mr. Doty as best man. For her " daughter's nuptials Mrs. Beckner wore a black silk crepe frock with matching ac cessories and a corsage of rose buds and bouvardia, Mr. Doty attended his son's wedding and the bridegroom's grandmother, Mrs. Sadie Goetjen of Maupin, was also here for the occasion. Reception at Home At the reception which was held at the Beckner home after the ceremony the - bridal party greeted , the guests informally. The bride's table was centered with the wedding cake, pastel, flowers and candles. Mrs. George McKenzie presid-. ed at the- coffee urn and Miss' Mina Beckner cut her sister's wedding cake. . Miss Inabelle Creech serced Ices. Assisting were Mrs. Merle Beckner, Miss Phyllis Gardner and Miss Jean Moyer. Miss Lois Coomer was in charge of the gift room and guests a the door. Mrs. Esteb attended schools in Wisconsin and junior college at Ironwood, Mich. She has been employed at the in dustrial accident commission. Mr. Esteb received his educa tion at the University of Cali fornia and University of Oregon.
