PAGE TWO Lou Hickman Became the Bride of Lt Glaisyer At Church Rites Amidst a beautiful all white setting of gladiolus, iris and stock and lighted candles in the stately auditorium of the First Presbyterian church, Miss Laura Lou Hickman, daughter of Mrs. Clara Hickman, became the bride of Lieutenant Herbert B. Glaisyer, jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert B. Glaisyer, at a lovely ceremony Saturday night. i It was at 7:30 o'clock that Rev. W. Irvin Williams read the service. Miss Flavia Downs sang: , preceding the wedding and Mrs. Arthur H. Demson was the ac companist and played the wed j ding marches. 1 ' , Mr. Tyler Brown escorted his niece to the altar and gave her niece W uic aiiar uiu c ci hand in marriage. Of white chif- fan was ; the bride's wedding gown. It ; was fashioned with a floor length skirt and the shir red bodice was made with a t sweetheart neckline and three- quarter length sleeves. A seed. ; pearl crown held her finger-tip : , length tulle veil in place. She carried a bride's bouquet of or-. chids, roses and lilies-of-the-" valley. ! . The bride's only attendant ;.' was Miss Patricia Noonan. Her ; . gown was of moon blue mar- ;: quisette designed with . a full 1 skirt, a shirred bodice and puff-' ed sleeves. A wreath of sweet-1 peas and rosebuds was arranged ; in her hair and she carried a bouquet of the same flowers in shades of pink and white. : Mr. Cecil Quesseth stood with Lt Glaisyer as best man and the ushers were Lt Ray Vandiver of Salt Lake City, Mr. James I , McHone of Salem, Mr. Richard ; Kelley and Mr. Max Hauser of Portland. '.; For her daughter's wedding ' Mrs. Hickman wore a navy blue and white redingote ensemble with corsage of Talisman roses. Mrs. Glaisyer wore a black red ingote outfit with black and white accessories and a' gar denia corsage for, her son's mar- ' riage. , - Couple to Go South The home of the bride's brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Dunsmoor, was the scene of the wedding recep tion for members of the family and intimate friends. , , Mrs. Tyler Brown cut the bride's cake and assisting in the serving were Mrs. Glendon La- JDuke, Miss Mildred Meaner, Miss Cleo Saueressig and Miss Marjorie McCallister of Corval lis. ! j' ' ; ... Lt. Glaisyer and his bride left immediately after the reception for Stockton, Calif, where they will ! reside.' The . new Mrs. Glaisyer is a popular member of the younger set of the capital and has been connected with the state tax mission. Lt Glaisyer is now in structor with the United States army air corps stationed at Stockton and received his com mission last week. Satur day, June 7, will be the wed ding day and the ceremony will be performed at the First Presby terian church with Rev. W. Irvin Williams officiating. Miss Wilson, returned last weekend from Seattle, where her fiance : is now residing. While in the north she was the guest of her aunt, Mrs. Guy Cable, who entertained with a shower and dinner party in honor of her. The assisting hostess was Mrs. Al Minneginne.
