His health forced him to resign his duties two years ago at La Grande, where his teams had won championships eight of the nine years he was mentor. Greenskeepers Hold Session Twenty greenskeepers f r o m golf courses throughout Oregon and Washington attended a meet ing of their interstate organiza tion here Monday at the Salem Golf club. Discussion of greens keeping problems and inspection of the Salem course together with an explanation by John Herber ger, Salem greenskeeper, as to the methods used here were the prin cipal items of business.
