Statesman Staff Photo All-City Bowling Opens, Perfection Lanes By ED DONNELLY Salem's third annual city-wide bowling tournament swings into high today with nine class A and B teams rolling on Perfection alleys and a long list of doubles and singles getting under way. With a flock of gold medals for individ ual as well as team members in addition to the regular cash prizes that are offered, local bowlers really have something to bear down for and some ex ' 1 i" ceptional scores are expected. Today's schedule for class and B teams is: 1:30 p.m. Master Bread (A) Hamilton Furniture (B) -State Street Market (B) Cooke's Office Boys IB) Goldles (B) 8: SO p.m. Scio (B) 7: SO p.m. Straw & Straw (B) Rice Men Shoes (B) Woodburn (B) 9:00 p.m. Mary-Doc-Noble's (B) On the road today are Karr's and Cline's journeying to the Peninsula alleys In Portland to take part in the tournament slated there, and then going to the Central alleys for matches with Portland - ABC entries. The Capital City and Keglettes ladies teams will also roll in Portland today against picked teams from the Central alleys. With all three! leaders meeting second division teams next week, little, if anything, is expected to take place that will break the first place deadlock.
