Its - -tinkling, bell-like tone makes It 1 especially appropriate for Christ mas music. Miss McElroy, In ad dition to a miscellaneous group, will play a composition by Donna Eason, Salem musician. It is her song, "Fireflies." . Mrs. Bpauldlng, with Mary Talmadge Ileadrlck playing the violin obbligato, will sing Adams' "O Holy Night" and will be heard In Reger's "The Virgin's Slumber Song" and "This Day Is- Born A Saviour" by Stewart. Frank E. Churchill will be at the organ. , Soloists with the senior choir in the cantata will be Josephine Albert Spaulding, Lawrence C. Maves, Vivian Benner, Ralph Scott, Garlen Hollowell, Agnes Drnmmond, Mary Hughes, Ana tel Moon and Wlllard Horn chuch. Doors will open at 7 o'clock Sunday night, and a tran scribed musical program will be played until 7:30. Sunday morning Rev. W. Irvin Williams' Christmas sermon will be "Shell Shocked Angels?" Jo sephine Bross, soprano, will sing "Goodwill to Men" by O'Hara. Calvary Church To Aid Hospital Presents Received, Sunday Service to Be Given to. Deaconess Four services have been planned for Sunday In the Cal vary. Baptist church by the pas tor, Rev. Arno Q. Weniger, and Other leaders In the church. The annual Christmas program, un der, the direction of Frederick W. Lehmann, superintendent of the Bible school will be held at 9:45 a.m. At this service, gifts of staple foods and groceries will be re ceived for the Deaconess hospital and an offering received for the building of- the Ocean Lake church. At the morning worship hour, 11 o'elock, the pastor, will bring the Christmas message "Si meon and the Savior." The choir will sing. "The Shepherds Christ- mas Song" (Reimann) under the direction of E. D. Lindburg. Miss Beatrice Zwemke will preside at the organ. At 6:15 p.m., the young peo ple of the church will present a short play entitled, "Did You Re member Me?" At 7:30 p.m. wor ship, the choir will sing carols and the anthem, "Thy Light Is Come" (Wilson). The pastor's message "Let Us Now Go to Bethlehem" will be in keeping with the day. Congregational Juniors to Sing Carol singing by the Junior vested choir is announced as a special feature of the Christmas service arranged by the First Congregational church for Sun day morning In the Grand thea tre. Familiar carols will "be ren dered under the direction of Lena ' Belle Tartar as a prelude to the service. Miss Carolyn Brown will be soloist, singing: "There Were Shepherds." Play Presented At Gospel Church The Foursquare Gospel church, 19th and Breyman streets, will present its Christmas play, en titled, ' "The Empty Room" Sun day night at 7:45 o'clock. The play, by Dorothy Clarke Wilson, Is a presentation of the Christ mas story. It is the story ot the experience of the keeper of the inn at Bethlehem who refnsed en trance to the travel worn Mary and Joseph, only to learn to his sorrow that he bad refused refuge to the King of Kings. The play is In three scenes and is fast mov Ing and filled with lively Interest. Between scenes, numbers will be presented by the Sunday school department. Those taking part In the play are S. G.
