Broers Will Be Dinner Hosts Mr. and Mrs. Fred Broer will be- hosts to 35 members f the Wheaton college choir of Chicago, who . will arrive in Salem for a singing engagement on Friday night, at the Baptist church. The Salem, couple will entertain the men with a trip to Silver Creek falls in the morning and a salmon dinner at noon. The singers will continue- on to Port land that afternoon. The Broer's son Bert is one of the members cf the singing group. The garden festivities planned in Corvallis, will begin this after noon with a garden pilgrimage at 2 o'clock and will include a gar den art show at the Woman's club from 2 until 5 o'clock. Tomor row a series of lectures will be given on the Oregon State college campus, Including discussions of lawns and grasses, alpines and new and rare shrubs. The pro gram which continues Saturday and Sunday will be climaxed by a tea on the campus and a garden tour; on Sunday afternoon.
