4 MAXINE BUREN Editor Goodwill Tea Given for Hospital The executive board of the Sa lem General hospital auxiliary yesterday, announced the annual spring goodwill tea to be given at the home of Mra. Edgar Pierce on April 11. The tea which Is not benefit, is for the purpose of en tertaining friends of the hospital. All interested women are Invited hy the board members to attend. 1 The board of the auxiliary in cludes: Mrs Charles A. Sprague, president; Mra. B. O. Schucklng and Mrs. Harry Belt, vice-presidents; Mrs. William Burghardt, treasurer: Mrs. Robert Taylor, recording secretary and Mrs. Wal ter Kirk, corresponding secretary. New Club Elects Officers A newly organixed Young Busi ness and Professional Girls' club of the YWCA held election of of ficers at a meeting at the YWCA Monday night and chose Misa Marie Baumgartner for president; Miss Marlon Mitchell, vice-president, and Miss Elda Ridgeway, secretary-treasurer. Mrs. George Moorhead of the Marlon county department of health, showed the club members three interesting health films. The club meets on the first and third Monday of the month and is made up of young business or professional women interested In social and educational activities. Star Members at Eagles Will Have Meeting Card Parties Mrs. Mem Pearce was honored at the meeting of the Order of Eastern Star, held on Tuesday night at Masonic temple. She was given a special degree and the line officers presented her with flow ers, a birthday cake and an invi tation to a party to be given on Saturday as a celebration of her birthday. Mrs. Pearce and Mr. Larry Flagg presided at the meet ing. Cards, Chinese checkers and dancing followed the regular ses sion of the order. The downstairs was decorated with a spring bou quet arranged on a mirror with gardenias. Decoration upstairs were daffodils and white spirea. Mr. and Mrs. William Merrl ott, Mr. and Mrs. J. O.
