hotel room, Agnes West, 34,
above, attempted to commit sui
cide by leaping from the sixth
floor of the hotel. Miss West
now is in a hospital where she Is
believed not seriously hurt. Ac
cording to police, Miss West Ad
mitted killing her mother, who
was secretary of the University of
West Virginia health service, be
cause "I was selfish and unstable
