f Gannon - Read Wedding on Saturday At a beautiful home ceremony last night at 8 o'clock, Miss Betty Read, daughter of Mrs. W.Ludd Read became the bride of Mr. Robert Colon Cannon, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Cannon. The -wedding was solemnized at the Cas cade drive home of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Plasecki by Rev. George H. Swift. - The bride was given in marriage by her brother, Robert Read of San Francisco. She was gowned In a white slipper satin dress fashioned with long sleeves and shirring at the shoulders. The train was long, and the three-tiered veil, fastened on the head with a halo of pearls, was also long. Her bouquet was of white roses, bouvardia and Hlies-of-thevalley. Mrs. Carl G. Collins, as matron of honor, wore a gown of wine velvet made with a sheer top. Her headpiece was of net and she car ried a corsage of pink roses and bouvardia. Miss Maxlne McKillop, Miss Helen Wiedmer, Miss Isobel George, Miss Marybeth Rumsey, Miss Rovena Eyre, Mrs. Frank Shafer, Mrs. Charles Pomeroy, Mrs.--An drew Halversen, Mrs. J. E. Lang worthy and Mrs. Russell McJury held ribbons to form an aisle for the wedding part?. They were- gowned in long dresses In vaiious colors. Miee Patricia Cannon lit the tapers, Miss Marie Patton rang preceding the ceremony, and Mrs. Kenneth Dalton played the wed ding marches.. Mr. Donald Cannon served as ' best man for his brotaer. Johnny Wilbur, son of Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Wilbur, nephew of the groom, was rin? bearer. During the reception which fol lowed the 'ceremony, Mrs. Harry Woith and Mrs. Ira Jorgensen poured and Miss Kathryn Read, aunt of the bride, cut the cake.
