Trinity Will Have Lunch; Choir Will Sing in Portland SILVERTON Mrs. Ames Cor- house. Mrs. Ole Satern and Mrs. Andrew Peterson will be luncheon hostesses at Trinity church at the Sunday fellowship hour. Luncheon will follow the morning service. A short program will be given during the luncheon. Trinity choir, under the direction of Mrs. Tom Anderson, will sing at the Central Lutheran church at Port land Sunday afternoon. The pro gram at Portland Is in connection with the Oregon circuit oi young people's group which opens there Friday night. Dr. E. M. Hegge will be the speaker. Services at Immanuel Lutheran r-Tiurch will be conducted as usual at- 11 o'clock in the morning and the leagues will meet at 6:30 and 8 o'clock. Rev. J. M. Jenson, pas tor of Immanuel church, also re ports the Sunday school teachers' institute at Monitor Monday at 8 p. m. Rev. O. . C. Olson of Calvary church returned this week from Everett, Wash., where he was one of the speakers at a 20th anni versary celebration. This was Rev. Olsen's charge before be came to Silverton. He announces the usual Sunday morning Sunday school classes at 10 o'clock and the serv ice at 11 o'clock. The semi-month ly meeting of the Luther league will be held Sunday night at 7:30 with Oliver Solberg as president.- At the Methodist church Rev. Edward Terry, pastor, is announc ing as his Sunday morning 11 o'clock sermon, "The Church's Missionary Task." Vesper at 4:30 will consist of a sacred concert by Rev. Carl Mason. Epworth leagues have been set at 5:30, with the junior high led by Mildred Hubbs and the senior by Louise Bahrke. Mrs. Albert Brinde, Mrs. Gordon VanCleave and Mrs. Edward.
