Servicea will bo held North 4th Thursday, July $, at 2 p. m. from Battery Services Being Augmented Willard Company Offering Checkup to Eliminate Battery Failure With the Interests of automo bile owners la tIsw the Willard Battery company and its agents will feature many new ana prac tical battery servicea this year, according to R. D. Woodrow, Willamette Talley distributor, who recently returned from the annual district convention. The reasons for battery failure, aside from failure to turn off electrical switches, have been defenltely established, Mr. Woodrow said, and a constant service check will be maintained to eliminate these causes. Generally speaking, it was shown at the convention, bat teries should never run down and require recharging before the battery is worn out When a battery does run down It is due largely to one of three things, sulphatlon due to continuous un dercharge; gravity too high due to overcharging; or low water levels and overloading of the battery. Any one or all of these condi tions, if they exist In the battery system of a car, can be isolated by the new Willard electrics: check machine being installed by all Willard dealers. Electrical experts Informed the convention of battery men that 50,000 miles of battery service would not be unusual if tbeae conditions were watched and eliminated when ever they appeared. This service will be free to motorists at all Willard dealers, Mr. Woodrow announced. VanPatten's Rites At 2 pan. Today i Fellow Officers 1 on Water Commission to Attend Late Chiefs Funeral the W. T.
