The bulletin contains sketch plans and specifications for a consid erable number of poultry house units found practical here in Oregon. Plans are included for laying; houses and for a 25-hen house. Plans are also given tor borne construction of many types of devices. Including mash troughs, nests, water devices. liquid milk feeders, litter car riers, dropping boards, green feed 'hoppers, wire porches. Ten tilators and electric wiring. One section ot the bulletin deals with hte control of wet litter by floor heating aid shows several plans for this and re sults that have been achieved. A good poultry house is one which provides" comfortable sur roundings in which fowls may be kept in an economical and con venient manner, according to the authors, F. L. Knowlton, H. E. Cosby and F. Raspberry Picking Starts; Crop Good RIVERYIEWi A crew of ber ry pickers began work in the Jack Goar raspberry field Tues day. Goar states that the ber ries: are in better, .condition than last year. The strawberry har vest is about completed here with the yield less than last year. Mrs. Joe Prokop succeeded Herman Zeller as director and Mr. Coop was reelected clerk at the school meeting. The dis trict will employ one teacher instead of two. At Oak Grove, Jack Goar was reelected clerk. Ralph McDonald has been re hired to teach next term.
