Miss Pickens Married ; I i r The Calvary Baptist church was the setting for an im pressive wedding ceremony last night when Miss Marjorie Pickens, daughter of -'Mr;-'.'and MrsXWilliam C.; Pickens, became the bride, of Mr. John Marvin Ritchie, son 'of Mrs. ; J. W. RitchieRev. Arno Q. Weniger performed the ceremony - at 8 o'clock in ! the presence of members of the famuies and ' a large group of friends. :' : : ;. -ry:'' , U:ZH- : Preceding the service Mr. .Wesley Ritchie sang 4'0 Promise Me" and "Because" and Miss Doris Schunke played the accompaniments and wedding marches. The; altar, was banked with baskets of roses, snapdragons, . iris, and del phinium. On either side were candelabra holding white tapers. t The bride who entered on the arm of her father wore a picturesque gown of white marquisette, fashioned with train, long sleeves full to the elbow and extremely full skirt. Ruching ' outlined the square neckline and the bodice was tight fitting. - Her full length tulle veil fell from a coronet of orange blos soms. She carried a bouquet of Cecil Brunner roses," gardenias and lilies-of-the-valley. 1 , - . ? Three Bridesmaids Attend , .' Miss Betty Hamilton was the maid of honor and wore a chartreuse chiffon frock made with hoop skirt, shirred bodice, puffed sleeves and square neckline. She wore a Juliet cap of pastel sweetpeas and carried a colonial nosegay of sweetpeas and roses. The bridesmaids were Miss Mary Yeager and Miss Peggy Minkiewitz. who wore similar frocks to the maid of honor's. Miss Yeager wore peach and Miss Minkiewitz pale blue. They also wore Juliet'caps and carried nosegays. Miss Janice Jack- son was flower girl and wore a light, blue taffeta frock trimmed in pink and carried a basket of flowers. - - Mr,-Frank; Ritchie,was best man for his brother and usners were xnr, nooen. ricKens anu an. max iuu -wttmc. For her daughter's, wedding Mrs., Pickens wore a dusty rose lace frock and; corsage of roses.
