Three Disorderly Conduct

SILVERTON That It pays to
be a gentleman was the verdict
of Clarence Hanson, who had
been accused by. Mrs. Delia Pal
mer of disorderly conduct. At
first Hanson pleaded Innocent
and later asked to change that
plea to one. of guilty. The court
granted this. . Wednesday Mrs.
Palmer came into the Justice
court and asked Judge Alf O.
Nelson to drop the charge as
Hanson had apologised for the
offense. The case was: dropped
with Hanson paying court costs.
In another case Mrs. Palmer
charged Don Vearier with disor
derly conduct to which be
pleaded not guilty. - The date of
trial has not yet been set.

Magic Show
HUBBARD The students of
the Hubbard schools were enter
tained Wednesday afternoon with
a magic show sponsored by the
Junior class as a benefit proposi
tion. The show was presented by
Paul Kerr and Curtis Thompson of
Portland. They claim the largest
production of any magician on the
coast. The outstanding feature was
the "Yogi," their own origination.

Goes to Town" by Wilbur Braun,
to be presented Friday. April 14.

WOODBURN The annual flower show, sponsored by
the Woodburn Garden club will be held at the Ogle building
on Front street, Saturday, April 8. The show is open to ev
eryone and all' people having potted plants or flowers to ex
hibit are welcome to do so. Exhibits must be up by 10 a. m.
that morning.
