Josephine Looney Funeral Is Sunday JEFFERSON Mr. v and Herbert Looney received Mrs. word from San Diego, Calif., of the death Thursday of their aunt, Mrs. . Josephine Looney, 80. She was a native of Oregon, and has made her home with her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and ' Mrs. William Smith; since leaving Jef ferson about eight years ago. Professor H. D. Schudder spoke Instead of Pro fessor W. Kuhlman, who was slated for the evening. Professor Schudder stressed plan for developing a farm over a 10-year period in order to de velop the maximum value of business and Income from the farm enterprises, rotation of crops to build up the soil, the value of Irrigation and the rais ing of Irrigated green beans ind beets to sell to the canneries, growing of Irrigated Ladino clov er, alfalfa cherries t.nd filberts and the raising of poultry. He also stressed the farm should be laid out with large rectangular fields and the farm buildings should be properly lo cated and arranged. Students on Tour . Of State Capitol CENTRAL HOWELL Pupils of the advanced room were taken to Salem Wednesday after noon on a tour of the state capl- tol. They went into the dome, visited the legislative chambers and secretary of state's office and had the privilege if shaking bands with the governor who showed them around his office.
