Trains, for instance, hare become mech anically perfect, with antomatlc signals, semaphores, whistling crossings, large stations that conceal whistles, and unloading equipment with mounting for station platforms. Engines are equipped with electric lights. There are tua nets with natural looking farm houses and fields on top, large and email stations and all aorta of other buildings. One city Union station is painted a showy red and white. The streamlined electric as- gines draw passenger, Pullmans, parlour and dining can, flat cars and box ears, oil cars and lovely red cabooses. Dolls ara just as important to little girls as trains are to the boys. Cloth dolls are cute this year. One Mammy doll has a washable black face and white apron and a body of cloth. The little girl doll who boasts red polka dot lega and ' arms is of vary durable looking material. A snuggly b u n n y ' is of red and white cotton cloth, with floppy white ears. Yellow and blue plush dogs are togged out in blue neckties. Many Dolls Large . Many large dolls are to be found. Are Selected JEFFERSON The Jefferson school has organised a glee club under the direction ot Mrs. Gil bert "Looney. Girls from tLe sixth, seventh and eighth grades make up the club. Officers are: President, Gene Mary Redmor l; vice-president, Patsy Pa nisi; secretary-treasurer, Ruth Ter hune librarian, MIckle Thurston. Several 4H clubs have jn organized at the school w h Mrs. E. B. Redmond chairman of the committee on 4H club work. Thirty boys and girls came out for the 4H cooking club work and three clubs will be organ ized. Leaders will be Mrs. H. B. Thurston, Mrs. Robert Terhune and Mrs. Redmond. Mrs. Thurston's clnb has elect ed Lois Smith, president: rosa Brows, vice-president, and Vera Glaser, secretary. Form Sewing Clnb , A club In aewing one, the Busy Bees, was organized with Mr.-. L. L. Shields, leader. Officers elected are: President, Lorraine Bentley; vice-president; L. 11a Sheffield ; secretary, Loral e Wolfe. Lola- Smith and Maxli e Talmadge were named to assist the leader . in making out the program. - , Other clubs have not yet um pletely organized. Parent-Teacher Group Is Formed at Oakridge OAKRIDGE A Parent-Teachers association has recently been organized at Oakridge with Mrs. J. J. McGovern elected president. Other officers are Mrs. Loretta Williams, vice president; Mrs. Florence Lynds, secretary-treasurer. The organization haa copt rat ed with the school board and bad the entire school painted on the Insidp. A basket social will be held at the school Saturday night at F. o'clock. Proceed from the affair will bo used for school equipment and a Christmas party for the students. The PTA has outlined an extensive program for, the winter.
