Dunn Win Prizes in Legion's Event DALLAS More than 400 stu dents of . the Dallas elementary schools took part In the annual Halloween parade sponsored by ' the Carl B. Fenton post of the . American Legion here Monday night. Doe to the ram the af fair was held in the junior high schooL . . .i . .J- " The grand prize for girls went to "Mary Lou 'Kreason-who was cleverly dressed to represent a dish of jello. Little Miss Mary " , Dick Craven received the second grand prize for h6r costume as one of the seven dwarfs. Grand prize for boys went to Bob Dunn dressed - as a handsome woman - and second boys' grand prize to Melvin Courter as a PWA work er. Jack Eakin acted as. master ,. of ceremonies, announcing the prize winners and distributing the prizes. He was assisted by other members of the local Leg ion post. Ivan E. Warner "was general chairman for the parade. Participation Frizes Prizes for the rooms at the junior high school having the largest percentage of students taking part in the parade went to the 8th grade room of Almos -Lefors.who had 100 per cent present with Miss Helen Butlers 6 th grade room second with 91 per cent present. In the elemen , tary building Paul Franjen's 6th grade room received first prize and Mrs. Ray Killin's 4th grade ' room, second. In addition to the grand prizes and the room prizes, three boys and three girls in each of the 16 rooms, participating were also awarded special prizes, donated by the merchants of Dallas.
